Union Hall is one of the largest event venues in downtown Raleigh, offering a distinctive setting rooted in the city’s history. With origins dating back to the 19th century, the space has evolved over time while preserving the architectural character and charm that make it unique today.

Our History
A Historic Venue with a Rich Legacy
Set in Raleigh’s Warehouse District, Union Hall occupies the original site of the city’s train depot, active from the 1890s through the 1940s. Its preserved industrial elements and exposed beams reflect the building’s heritage, blending historic character with a refined event setting.

Our Spaces
Grand Hall:
Rich in history and architectural character, the Grand Hall showcases original industrial beams and striking overhead elements that define the space. With soaring 40-foot ceilings and a dramatic window wall, the venue offers a stunning backdrop for any event.
The Grand Hall accommodates up to 700 guests for mixed seating and 350 for plated dinners. Its flexible layout allows for both clean, modern designs and fully customized event transformations.
Terrace:
The Terrace offers sweeping views of downtown Raleigh, creating an unforgettable open-air experience. Thoughtfully designed with built-in lighting, multiple power sources, and seasonal landscaping, it is ideal for cocktail hours, photo opportunities, and late-night gatherings.
Whether you envision a lively celebration under the lights or a relaxed lounge with curated food and drink, the Terrace provides a versatile and elevated setting.
The overlook
Our newest space, The Overlook, features panoramic views of downtown Raleigh, the Amtrak platform, and the Grand Hall below. Located on the third floor, it is filled with natural light and offers a more intimate, refined atmosphere.
Ideal for getting ready, private dinners, cocktail hours, or VIP experiences, The Overlook provides a distinctive setting for smaller gatherings within the larger venue.
